Dental ImplantsMissing a tooth? Dental implants offer patients valuable health benefits, long lasting quality, and beautiful, seamless results.
Dental Implants in Fort Lauderdale
Do you need to have a dental implant procedure performed? If you have lost or missing teeth, dental implants may be an excellent option to traditional bridgework. The benefit is that the implanted tooth is more secure than other options and does not rely on or affect the neighboring teeth for its positioning or support.
Dental Implant Advantages
- They avoid gum recession and bone loss which often happens with traditional bridges and with denture use.
- They’re silent so there is no or clicking noises.
- They are stationary so they can’t be lost, broken or need cleaning.
- They are durable and with very reliable.
- They preserve bone health by substituting for the missing root, thus providing the mass to help the bone retain its natural size.
- They do not have restrictions with eating particular foods, as dentures may.
How are dental implants positioned?
The most common process is the endosteal implant (inside the bone). This is a good alternative for people with bridges or dentures.
The other method is subperiosteal (on top of the bone and under the membrane covering the bone, the periosteum). This type of dental implant may be performed on people who have less bone height, density or are otherwise not acceptable candidates for an endosteal implant.
Several months after the procedure, the dental implant will begin to secure permanently. During this healing phase, you may wear a temporary tooth. When the gum and bone are ready, the new tooth, called a crown, is affixed to the protruding end, the abutment, of the implant. This new tooth becomes a part of your dental work as securely as your natural teeth and soon thereafter, you can resume normal dental activities.

Real Clients, Real Reviews
This is the best dental office in Fort Lauderdale! Always pleasant to deal with, and very competent dentistry. Love you guys!
I have been to many different dental office in my lifetime. Kodish Dental Group is the first office I have ever been to that can do it all. Dr. Kodish has all the latest equipment to diagnose and treat issues you have with your teeth, jaw and bite. After an emergency visit to Urgent Care to be diagnosed with a jaw issue, because I was unable to determine the source for the tremendous pain radiating from my left jaw. I then discovered Dr. Kodish‘s office by searching for someone who could help me. Within a week my pain had diminished, and within two weeks I had no residual problem. I am thrilled to have found Dr. Kodish and his knowledgeable staff. I can’t wait to go back for my cleaning!
The cap to my tooth popped out while I was in town waiting to take a cruise. What to do? Found Kodish Dental Group close by my hotel and they immediately took me in for xrays and consultation. The staff and dentist were so pleasant to work with. I don’t know what I would have done without them. Highly recommended. They would be my dental group of choice if I lived in the Area.
