Restorative Dentistry in Fort Lauderdale

At Kodish Dental Group, we work hard to help patients achieve and maintain their healthiest smiles. For some patients, we are able to create a personalized preventive dentistry plan right away, but for others, dental restoration is necessary for optimal oral health. Our Fort Lauderdale dentist and team offer a variety of restorative dentistry services to repair, replace, and renew damaged smiles. Whether you’ve experience dental damage caused by decay or trauma, our team has the care you need to smile confidently.

Restorative Treatment Options

  • Dental Crowns – Patients who experience severe decay, chips, cracks, or breaks in teeth that cannot be repaired with more conservative fillings, inlays, or onlays, may need a dental crown. A crown fits over remaining dental structure offering support and protection for teeth, and restoring function to bite. Patients may also need a dental crown if they undergo root canal therapy or as part of a single tooth implant procedure.
  • CEREC Same-Day Crowns – In the past, patients who needed dental crown restoration scheduled two separate appointments to complete treatment.  Thanks to the CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) system, our team is able to offer patients the same high-quality, custom restoration in a single visit. Using computer assisted design and manufacture (CAD/CAM) technology, the dentist prepares the tooth, takes digital impressions that are sent to a chairside milling unit, where the crown is created. Finally, the crown is placed, and in a single visit, patients have a beautifully restored smile.
  • Root Canal Therapy – A root canal is simply the inner portion of the tooth root where soft pulp and nerves are housed.  During a root canal, the dentist removes the infected pulp and nerve, refills the tooth, and places a dental crown to support and protect the damaged tooth. While the irritated dental nerve causes severe pain, root canal therapy provides immediate relief.
  • Adhesive Dentures – For patients who are fully edentulous (without teeth), adhesive dentures have been the go to treatment for centuries. For patients who need a full upper or lower arch of teeth replaced, dentures restore speech clarity, chewing ability, and smile confidence. Using a mold of patients’ gums and jawbone, a custom denture is created to fit comfortably and securely.
  • Fountain of Youth Dentures™ – While traditional, removable dentures have offered patients dramatic oral health improvement for centuries, patients who wear dentures often experience pain or discomfort in the gums, diminished gum tissues, decreased jawbone density, and sagging facial shape while wearing traditional dentures. Fountain of Youth Dentures™ use the science of neuromuscular dentistry to offer patients dentures that fit more securely, feel more comfortable, and preserve healthy gum and bone tissue for a fuller, more natural facial appearance.
